"I like to make things n' stuff."

For anyone in Canada reading this (or going to Canada soon for that matter), be sure to pick up the December/January edition of “The Discorder” magazine, where I’ve got a little something featured.
If you can’t make it to Canada in time to pick this up, then I am truly sorry to say you may never know what this featured something is!

Messin around with a tilt-shift effect on last night’s practice,

worked out alright!

Joshua’s unique dancing style makes him a hit at daycare.

This one is even better, but I don’t like the song as much :P

I’m reading a book that reminded me of this guy,

Stephen Wiltshire.

Not tryin to be political, but, Obama killed it!

Thanks 2 Ms. Dana for this one

The footage was taken probably a year ago now, and the track is brand new, produced by my good friends Dave and Jersey, I present to you: Track Four.

**site update, I moved the sections around, the main page is now the blog, and all “projects” can now be found where the “Logs” were.**

Just about every year since we were kids, my friend Tim and his family have set up a haunted house. This year it is going to be better than ever! I went over to help out with it last night and took a couple pictures,

BBoy Stance

Do Not Enter
You wont want to enter this door, let alone get near it!

I can’t give away too much right now, but I’ll get some video clips up here soon, and of course I’ll get a walk through on Halloween night for those of you who are too afraid to go inside ;)

It’s been a little while since we had a full game of baseball, it’s been a struggle to get enough heads, but we finally did it. The teams, not so fair, but that was my bad for pickinem.

Baseball
Almost full teams, that trashcan was our catcher.

I saw this movie yesterday, some of the best cinematography I’ve ever seen. Every shot was composed with such care that each frame could be a photograph itself.

Joan of Arc: "She really looks like a daughter of God, eh?"

At the Stake
The passion of Joan of Arc (1928, silent)
Beyond the cinematography, the movie itself is pretty powerful, I highly recommend it.

My latest and greatest project is doin these classic movie stars for my friends & family on the facebook application called “graffiti”, what I do is ask their favorite star, then do the drawing. It’s been kinda fun.
Here’s what I’ve got, chronologically from old to new,

Buster Keaton
Buster Keaton, for Kelly Courtney

Kool Keith
Alright, so not so classic, we’ve got the “Chocolate Elvis”, for Andrew Leonard

Hitchcock
My very favorite Hitchcock picture, for Kaitlin Brennan

Groucho Marx
Groucho Marx, for Sage Keeler

Humphrey Bogart
Humphrey Bogart from “The Maltese Falcon”, for Pete Monson

And that’s all I’ve got for now, I’ll update someday again when I’ve got a few more.

aaand I’m off, l8s

I got that “Nine” record yesterday, and it definitely lives up to my expectations, heres a little video I made today, the track is “As I Am”,

And for a little something to read while that video plays out—
I was down at the beach yesterday, and as it usually happens when I’m the only one for miles, dolphins show up and mess around in the waves right in front of me. But yesterday, they were getting pretty gnarly, I sat and watched for about an hour, and I saw them jumping completely out of the water a bunch of times, and then right before they left, two jumped out of a wave at the same time side by side. Pretty cool, if you ask me!
I got a few pics with my phone, but you can hardly see them, so I won’t even post.
—Pretty good track, huh?

Found the old panoramic camera with some film still in it, here’s a shot,

Matt
Forgot I took half of the shots on the roll, a good surprise!

Just got done shooting a pretty large portion of work for Mike Leon so be sure to keep an eye on his site, I’m sure he will be puttin the work up soon.

The person that I’m making clothes for doesn’t want to wear the same thing as everyone else, and so our biggest advantage is that we can be exclusive.

I ran across some samples of this compilation album the other night, Infinite Skills Presents: Nine, and I gotta say it was real tough to track down a copy. Thanks to Bobby Z it’ll be shipping to me from the UK within a week or two! Check the trailer,

I’m real excited about this album, it sounds like a instant classic, I’ll have to dust off my record player!

I’ve been shooting film lately — half of the stuff has been sitting in the cameras for well over a year now, and I’m just killing the rolls and developing em. I’ve been getting a lot of funny shots I forgot I ever took.

Fire to Sea: Panoramic on the Diana+

This was taken with a Diana+ camera set to panoramic just a few days ago—I did line the pictures up a little better in Photoshop, but there’s another one un-altered lurking on my flickr. I won’t give out the link so it’ll be like a hunt. Good luck!

Calogero on the bus

On an unrelated textual note, head on over to the Monrovian blog, it’s goin off!

We tried sneaking in to Jack Johnson the other night, but there was a bat guarding the gate??

We resorted to sitting on the top of a parking garage, and I think I got some poison oak?

I’ve been getting more and more into film the past few months—taking random video, making random video, watching random video—and I’ve just been noticing good stuff when I see it.
This is a video that I saw today that really inspired me even beyond film,

Thanks Nate Jess for this one.

I honestly can’t believe how quickly Friday came. Last night my buddy Samuel and I were having an argument weather the day was Thursday or not, he won it after pulling out a phone for proof, but I was still in total denial that the next day would actually be Friday, almost felt dream-like.

Anyways, I’ve got a couple new things to update, the first is this teaser to a project that I will be working on slowly but surely; just seeing where it’ll take me. Dust2Dust Clothing,

VISIT SITE

This is the initial site design, and a sort of “place holder”. I had to get it up quickly due to our sort of “sponsoring” a B-Boy battle in LA, Battle Field 2
(more info on this later!)

I’d also like to drop on you guys this track that I’ve been looking for, for a loooooong time now. Found it while out the other night, the DJ was spinning it and I pretty much ran to the booth to get the name, Augustus Pablo, East of the River Nile off the album of the same name, 1978.

Feeew, long post??

Welcome to the site, the main page is a documentation of my current and past projects. Anything from complete paintings or drawings, to digital work and web work.
This “Log” area will contain things that don’t really fit in over there. Somethin like a picture of myself?

Fields

I will try to update as much as possible with pictures and music and random other stuff.
